Our research focuses on the reproductive life course and critical stages for health such as pregnancy, birth, infancy, early childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood. Cross-cutting themes of the research include reproductive risks, health equity, and vulnerable populations in the US and globally.

Contraception, pregnancy & maternal health

This research is helping to address the US public health goal to reduce unintended pregnancy and global goals to improve maternal health. 

Infant mortality & morbidity, and early child health  

This research is addressing inequities in child and infant health, and uncovering the importance of gene-environment interactions during these developmental phases.

Disease & risks for teens and young adults

This research is addressing key questions in sexual health, including the drivers of pregnancy intention, contraceptive attitudes and STI risks.
